If you are prescribed a medication not on our GENRUS membership list, then you will pay rates set by your pharmacy.

GENRUS is not sponsored by or affiliated with any Pharmacy Benefit Manager or Insurance Provider. GENRUS is not insurance.

GENRUS participating pharmacies exclusively provide our membership pricing.  GENRUS is not recommending or endorsing any specific prescription medication. Please seek medical advice before starting, changing or terminating any medication or prescription. GENRUS, at its discretion, may delete or include any prescription medications and other services.

By purchasing a GENRUS annual or monthly membership or accepting a sponsored membership from a third party (including the Nova Scotia Co-operative Council) you are accepting the terms outlined above; plus to the collection, use, and disclosure of your membership and prescription information by a pharmacist and GENRUS for accounting and payment purposes. You must be a legal adult, having reached the age of majority in the province you reside, in order to sign up for GENRUS. If you are a minor, you are not permitted to use this site. Privacy Policy

1. Acceptance of this Privacy Policy. Please read the terms of this Privacy Policy carefully. If you do not accept the terms, do not use this website (“Site“). This Policy governs the Site but may not apply to all operations of GENRUS. By using this Site, you are indicating your acceptance to be bound by this Policy. We review this Privacy Policy and our procedures from time to time and we may revise these terms at any time at this Site. Please visit this Site periodically to review our Privacy Policy.

4.  What Constitutes Personal Information? Personal information is any information about an identifiable individual, but may not include certain business contact information that GENRUS collects, uses or discloses solely for the purpose of communicating or facilitating communication with the individual in relation to their employment, business or profession.

The information below is generally collected from you, but we may also obtain such information from financial institutions or pharmacy partners as permitted by you or as required for us to provide our services to you.

3. Credit card and other financial and payment information for non-sponsored memberships, paid for by the member and not a third party;
4. Testimonial comments from you about our products and services;
5. Prescription fills at our pharmacy partners, as required in order to provide services to you
6. Other information as required or permitted by law, or as provided by you.

6.  Use of Personal Information: Your personal information may used by us as permitted or required by law and for the following purposes:

1. To provide our products and services to you;
2. To process invoices and your payment by credit card, debit systems or other billing options, when relevent;
3. To contact you for customer follow up and to seek your input and advise you about products and services of GENRUS and its affiliated companies, but only your name, address and telephone number will be used for this purpose.

7.  Sharing Your Personal Information: We may share some or all of your personal information as required or permitted by law and as follows:

1. To contractors and agencies that work with us to provide our products and services to you, including partner pharmacies and healthcare providers, who will be provided access to personal information as needed to perform their functions, but we shall not authorize them to use your personal information for other purposes;
2. To financial institutions and their affiliated companies for the purpose of processing your payments to us, if relevant;
3. To affiliated companies and independent contractors for the purpose of customer follow-up and to seek your input and advise you about products and services of GENRUS, but for this purpose we shall not share more than your name, address and telephone number;
4. To another company or business, in the event of a proposed or actual transfer of ownership of all or part of our company to that other company or business, but for this purpose, we shall not authorize use of your personal information beyond the scope of any such transaction or this Policy;
5. We may use your testimonials at our Site and in our promotional and advertising materials, but we shall only do so without your name or without your surname, unless we have further consent from you.
6. You will be given the opportunity to opt out of having your information used for purposes that are not directly related to the provision of our products and services. For example, if you do not want to receive information about additional products and services that may be available from GENRUS and its affiliates from time to time, then you will be given the opportunity to opt out of receiving such information. You will only receive supplemental marketing materials by email or SMS message after giving express consent and can revoke consent at any time.

The security of your personal information is important to us, and we use various technical, contractual, administrative and physical security measures to protect personal information that you provide to us. We strive to regularly improve the security of personal information that you may provide to us through our Site or via other means, but please note that there is no method of transmitting or storing data that is 100% secure.

Thank you for your interest in Genrus. Unfortunately, we do not issue refunds for memberships once the order is confirmed and your membership card is sent via email. If you wish to cancel your membership, you can do so at any time, and you will continue to receive the benefits of the program until the final day of your subscription period (30 days from last renewal for monthly members, one year from signup or last renewal for annual members). You will not be charged again after cancelling your membership. We recommend contacting us for assistance if you experience any issues receiving your membership.
